What have you been playing this month?

As usual, playing LoL, just finished Blood Dragon (amazing), And have started bashing my head against the brick wall that is XCOM again. Fuck that game man. Possible video series incoming?

What are you looking forward to?

Releases wise, nothing is really coming out until Metro: Last Light, I should probably play 2033 first though.

As usual the gaming news is pretty grim, but there is hope that with EA picking up the licence to make core Star Wars games, we might have a DICE made Battlefront 3 (PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE) after BF4. (And hopefully BEFORE Mirror’s Edge 2, sorry peoples)

I’m too poor for pizza 🙁

Hyena

Symphonia PS3

SOON.

What you’re playing this month?

1. Hotel Dusk: Room 215

The most satisfying detective experience ever, Hotel Dusk is a detective mystery that (refreshingly) doesn’t revolve around a murder. While the musical and sound effect aspects of the game leave a lot to be desired, the dialogue and gameplay are witty – and more importantly – believable.

2. Fire Emblem: Awakening

I have poured countless hours into the latest Fire Emblem, and I don’t regret one second of it. As far as tactical RPGs go, Fire Emblem looks fantastic and is incredibly satisfying (so long as no one dies). Thankfully, noobs like myself can now play the ‘easy’ setting, where there is no permadeath.

3. Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate

This is another game that is a black-hole of free time. Monster Hunter gets better the more you play it (so long as you don’t mind spending time occasionally grinding bosses for key items). Oh, and if you’re lucky enough to score one on 3DS, don’t forget your circle pads, kiddos.

4. Civilisation IV

After having played all 5 Civilisation games, IV is definitely my personal favourite. It’s been the best when it comes to culture victories, by far. The ability to become a cultural ‘blob’, engulfing any cities in my path and dominating through peace brings me so much joy. So. Much. Joy.

What releases you’re looking forward to?

  • Tales of Xillia
  • Rayman Legends
  • Saints Row 4
  • South Park: the Stick of Truth
  • Assassin’s Creed 4: Pirate Adventure
  • Destiny
  • Theif
  • Pokemon X and Y
  • Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem
  • XING: The Land Beyond (Kickstarter)
  • Forbidden Fortress (Kickstarter)

Favourite piece of recent game news:
Tales of Symphonia being ported to the PS3. This announcement has probably made my year. As a huge fan of pretty much everything in the Tales series, the elusive Symphonia is one of the few games that I haven’t been able to get my paws on. While no American or European versions have been announced as of yet, it looks pretty inevitable so far.

How has the Xbox Pizza Hut App changed your life?

I’m excited to be able to not order Pizza Hut from yet another app! I just can’t get over all the ways I can continue to not order from Pizza Hut. Breathtaking.

What have you been playing this month?

What has been happening for me and my gaming habits? Well due to time constraints my 3DS has now paid itself off several times over. I have been preoccupying myself with the incredible titles such as Fire Emblem (now one of my all time favourite games), Luigi’s Mansion 2/Dark Moon and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. What little time I get to sit at home and play games is filled with playing Monster Hunter on my 3DS instead of my WiiU, cleaning the semen stains off my copy of Injustice: Gods Among Us and cataloguing and organising my Skylanders Giants figurines in between playthroughs.

What are you looking forward to?

What am I looking forward to? I am looking forward to playing a bit of Last of Us and the new Deadpool game and I have now allowed myself to get excited for Watchdogs after seeing several trailers and some gameplay. But in all honesty, just about all my time will be used up playing the soon the be re-released Neo Geo Deluxe Console. This thing has me so excited. I probably don’t have the space in my pockets anymore for that AND my 3DS, but it’s been some time since I have had any particular nostalgic fix so this new portable console is hopefully going to keep me happy with such badass old school titles like Metal Slug and King of Fighters.

How has the new PizzaHut app for Xbox 360 changed your life?

Due to the new Microsoft DRM PizzaHut is unable to transfer the rights to the pizza from their device to mine.

What have you been up to this month?

When I close my eyes, all I see is Dota. With the 1,000 hour mark nothing but a memory I turn my sights on 2,000 hours and still I have far too much to learn. I also finally started playing Fallout: New Vegas after I decided not to bother with hardcore mode and just enjoy the damn game without having to sleep every five minutes.

What are you looking forward to?

I’m most looking forward to the new Wii U titles that we should be hearing from at E3, namely Smash Brothers, Mario Kart and a little bit of Pikmin 3.

I now don’t have to move from my couch in order to have a heart attack. How convenient!

What have you been playing this month?

I’ve been playing “The Legend of Zelda” NES remake on the 3DS, Pokemon Leaf Green, Alien Vs Predator(2010), Injustice Gods Among Us PS3, Psychonauts, Donkey Kong Country Returns…and surprisingly no Sonic as of yet.

What are you looking forward to?

SONIC LOST WORLD, I was worried about the name but after hearing details, seeing the trailer and that the wisp powers will be making a return. I am muchly excited. SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!

I’ll also be picking up Donkey Kong Country Returns on the 3DS! I’ve also been finding the PS4 and Xbox One announcements sort of falling flat entertaining as well.

How has the new PizzaHut app for Xbox 360 changed your life?

I wasn’t even aware. I hope that the new always-on kinect for the Xbox One will use its vital signs reading capabilities, read your heartbeat and facial expressions to tell when you are hungry and make the order for you automatically. Non-refundable macro-transactions are the way of the future!!!1
