MARVEL is Figuring Out What to Do With Daredevil

Marvel Studios has unquestionably become a Hollywood force to be reckoned with having achieved what no one ever thought they could, assembling the Avengers for the big screen!

Last year though, Marvel re-acquired characters that it had sold off to other studios over a decade ago which had been misused to make terrible abortions disguised as films, and one of those characters is fan-boy favourite Daredevil. And with Marvel’s successful streak of movies, and Daredevil’s recent surge in popularity due to Mark Waid and Chris Samnee’s run with the character on the page, most Marvel fan boys have been holding our breath to see Matt Murdock join the booming Marvel cinematic universe.

And at last head of Marvel Studio’s Kevin Feige recently spoke to Bleeding Cool about Daredevil and other characters including Punisher and Ghost Rider, saying:

“We’re trying to figure out what to do with Daredevil now. Punisher could show up at one point. You know, once we get characters back into the Marvel fold we don’t want to do something right away, we want to do the smart thing at the smart time.”

So it’s definitely an interesting comment, and we KNOW we’ll get to see these characters again and that they’ll be Marvel properties this time so we’re almost guaranteed quality, unlike any of the films these characters have been given so far. It’ll be interesting to see the direction they take and how Marvel will introduce these characters into the Marvel cinematic universe, whether they’ll introduce them in their own films or if the studio gives them a brief appearance or mention in Avengers 3. Not even Marvel studios knows for now, but here’s hoping they have some great plans in the pipeline and do the characters justice so we can get the Daredevil movie we’ve been waiting for.
