Colin Farrell Says the World of Warcraft Script is “Amazing”
Put this one in the skeptical pessimism category!
While it does still indeed baffle me as to what kind of dire financial straits have befallen Colin Farrell to have pushed him to agree to star in the upcoming film adaptation of the multi-billion dollar World of Warcraft online game series, it appears as though he doesn’t quite share my pessimism. In a recent interview with IGN Farrell spoke about the project, talked about director Duncan Jones (Moon) and says the script “amazing”.
“I don’t know what’s happening, man. I read the script, if that’s any use to you, and it’s amazing. Duncan was cool. I sat with him for a while and read the script, loved the script, and we was as cool as can be. I don’t know what’s happening with the film. I don’t know where they are in the process. It’s just a world that I never explored and it’s a really big and fantastical world. I can’t imagine what he, being as visually gifted as he is and what he did on Moon with, like, a dime, I can’t imagine what he’d do with this Warcraft.”
World of Warcraft will be released in theatres December 18th, 2015
and stars Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Anton Yelchin and Paula Patton.
