New Suicide Squad Trailer Takes Aim At Deadshot

As we get closer and closer to the release date for Warner Bros.’ highly anticipated August 5, release date, this new series of 60 second TV character spots are showcasing each individual member of the Suicide Squad’s talented cast of villains and anti-heroes via Machinima on YouTube.

The latest of these, which you can see here features Will Smith’s deadly hit man Floyd Lawton, otherwise known as Deadshot. And he isn’t one to be messed with!

From director/writer David Ayer, Suicide Squad centers on the secret government agency led by the tough as nails Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), who won’t let any meta humans or rules stand in her way, as she recruits “the most dangerous people on the planet”, imprisoned super villains  to undertake extreme, suicidal black ops missions, to do some good, and deny responsibility should they go rogue.

The squad consists of Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) and of course Jared Leto as The Joker.

The box office projections for Suicide Squad are already looking bright despite the mixed (or rather negative) response to Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which has become somewhat better received with the release of the extended cut.

Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 5, 2016.
