The South Park Game We Deserved: Stick of Truth Review

May have slight spoilers - So any fan of South Park knows the much loved TV Series has suffered when it comes to Video Games. In fact the only game I can think of that I even remotely enjoyed was its Tower Defence XBLA game. Stick of Truth had a lot to live up to, and without beating around the bush too much I can honestly say that Stick of Truth is undoubtedly the game we have been waiting for since South Park first hit our screens. Lets plays, Twitch TV and New Games Journalism

This month marks ten years since Kieron Gillen first sat down at his keyboard and typed out his manifesto for the future of video games journalism. Ten years in which console, trilogies and trends have all come and gone, but the hopes and ideals for the future of games writing his essay spoke of seem as distant now as they have ever been. Previews still dominate the pages of glossy magazines, promising the world to whoever owns the right system. Reviews are still written as shopping lists, letting Read more [...]

Fantastic Four to be “darker” and “nothing like the originals” says Vaughn

Since the oddly age inappropriate cast was revealed and some surprisingly racist backlash against the casting of Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch reared its ugly head (let’s be perfectly honest eh?) we've been waiting for more details on the upcoming reboot of the Fantastic Four which is due to hit theaters in June of 2015. In an interview with Empire magazine discussing the film, producer Matthew Vaughn spilled on some details about what we can expect to see regarding not only Read more [...]

How Twitch Plays Pokemon restored my faith in humanity

You could be forgiven for thinking that democracy is a failing system. Yet there’s a ray of light shining through our dark dystopian times, proof that despite the Read more [...]

We will try to update as frequently as possible so don't touch that figurative dial! So come and listen to the recording of a mad man, and a slightly lesser mad man and their musings this week on Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, the state of video game reviews and the general goings on in the video game world. Many thanks Read more [...]

Doctor Who Extreme Crossovers!

Howdy fellow Whovians! Well, if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, if there’s one thing Whovians like its Theories and LONG HOT FAN FICTION! The latest craze for us crazy obsessed bunch has been Doctor Who x Star Trek x Star Wars or Sherlock. Now, I’ve been thinking to myself, sure these are interesting ideas and yes, they would be fun but let’s face it team, now that we’ve got Mr Capaldi as your new demi-god to worship, we need some more hardcore crossovers appropriate Read more [...]

Half Life 3 won’t come

The secret patience test chamber under G-Man's office. DISCLAIMER: Everything in this article is its author's speculation. This is only my opinion - nothing more, nothing less. Half-Life 3, or Half-Life 2: Episode Three, is the ultimate joke when it comes to games stuck in development hell. People from all over the world have been expecting Valves vapourware to be released since its announcement in 2006. It has been delayed multiple times and today we are not even sure if it exists.
